School Council and Parent Society
The Hilwie Hamdon School Council is made up of a group of parents who work together with the school to support and enhance student learning. The School Council supports meaningful parental involvement in decisions that affect the school by giving advice and support to the principal. The School Council at Hilwie Hamdon School will work alongside school staff to promote the well-being and overall effectiveness of our school community.
Our Parent Society is a formal group of parents incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council.
All parents and guardians are invited to attend any meetings as posted on SchoolZone throughout the year. More information can be found on the Alberta School Councils website.
